Dieppe France
By Linda Thalman
Dieppe is a lovely port city in Normandy, which is west of Paris.
It is about a 3-hour drive on the A13 autoroute for the most direct route.
The port is ever so pretty and for sailing you can go in and out of the harbor at
any time - unless the weather is really bad.
Some ports have locks and you have to wait for the high tide to sail in or out. So:
Dieppe has a big plus for sailing and fishing boats.
On Saturdays Dieppe has a very large street market with lots of local produce and
colorful stands for clothes, shoes, handbags, well, you name it!
