Mari Boine Concert September 2009 - Paris - New Morning By Linda Thalman Mari Boine - her voice can be a whisper, soaring with the eagles to high notes, going to an almost wolf cry sound, then murmuring like a trout in still water, trilling as if she were a bird, yu, yu-ing with ferocity, pain and then outlandish joy. Then she might move to low tones, going slow, or racing wildly with bursting energy of a very proud and strong woman. Absolutely amazing and enthralling. The evening with Mari Boine singing and her four musicians was simply magic on the 10th of September at the New Morning jazz club in Paris.
