Roanne France - January 2006

The Roannais area of France is perhaps less well known than some, though
Roanne is certainly known by many for the Troisgros (Michelin 3-star) restaurant.
The tourist office web site is exceptionally well done and full of information,
though, it is currently only in French.
You'll find details on the region, dining, accommodation, festivals, rivers, museums,
unusual and fun things to do and more.
Tip: When visiting France search on the names of the cities you'll be going to
and I'm quite sure you'll be pleased at the wealth of sites to help you prepare your visit.
I used the Roanne Tourist Office web site to find a hotel located just a two-minute walk
from the Troisgros restaurant and it turned out just perfect.

Hôtel Terminus is opposite the train station, with simple but impeccable rooms,
an enclosed and locked parking lot, breakfast if you wish, a modern foyer and very nice service.
It was a perfect hotel for us for a one-night stay and easy on the budget: 46 euros.
